Internet Marketing Gurus, Taking Advantage Of People

Ever felt taken advantage of by an internet marketing guru? I am sure you know what I am talking about. Every day there is someone on the internet telling you to quit your job and start an online business from home.

You hear these online market scams saying things like aTell your boss to take a hike and make real money!a, How to make your boss work for you!a or the most popular aMake money from home while doing nothing!a You then visit these web sites that they recommend only to find that they are filled with the same jargon as every other site. The page scrolls down forever, they display checks with excessive numbers on them ($79,000), and they are making outrageous claims.

Finally, they all claim to have the secret to making money on the internet and living a happier and richer life. They follow up with this by telling you to try their free DVD, which then only provides you what the web site just told you, and the DVD tells you to purchase their software or mentoring program. This is how most internet marketing gurus are ripping off people.

It is sad really to see how many people truly fall for these gurus trickeries. People are so caught up in the images of luxury cars, houses, vacations, boats and money that they become blind to what is really happening.

They buy these digital books that the site tells them to purchase in order to make a new life for themselves. The book then tells you to buy something else from company in order to reach these goals they have set. Some of these web marketing scams go as far as to have you pay a monthly fee for the web site and products. They then require you to sell so much of their product a month even if it requires you to make up the difference.

There are a few things you may notice in a guru marketing scam. One is by getting you to pay monthly they are trapping you within their system. The second is tricking you into buying multiple items so that you have a better success rate.

Meanwhile, the marketer makes all the money while you struggle to achieve this dream they feed you. They know what they are doing. They are all getting rich off of their internet market guru scams. Itas how they made their money in the first place. Practically crooks when you look at the outcome in the end.

You can’t win this game unless you start fooling people yourself. Is this what you want to do? I don’t think so. You know deep inside that they will eventually pay the price for fooling other people somehow. They make millions off of people that are desperate and make them lose their last shirt. Do not end up as one of these people. Visit Badguruscams.com for more information.

Search Engine Optimisation for Lead Generation

Written by Jane L. Church on October 21, 2008 – 7:26 am -

Search engine Optimisation is ranking your website well in the free path of the search engines such as Google, Yahoo and NineMSN. In Australia, Google dominates the Australian search market and it has over 80% market share. Our tests also revealed that Google searches almost always convert into inquiries or sales much more often than searches by other major search engines. So in other words, Google generates more high quality search traffic. That’s a pretty good reason to focus your search engine strategy on Google.

With Google, you’ll find that you rank quite well as compared to the others. For this, there’s a three-step process by which you can perform search engine optimisation. This topic is fairly complex and companies spend a lot of money getting this done for them. However, you can do this with three relatively simple steps.

Step 1: Doing Keyword Research Establish what keywords and phrases are relevant to your service or product. Then, focus your search engine optimisation efforts to maximise those. For example, if your business is local, your keyword research is going to be pretty straightforward. In that case, your keyword phrases are going to be something along the lines of your business plus your location. For example, if you are a carpet installer in Melbourne, you’ll want to say something to the effect of, “Carpet installation Melbourne,” or something similar. You can also use keyword search tools, including a free tool such as inventory.overture.com. There are also more sophisticated pay tools like keyworddiscovery.com and WordTracker.com.

Step 2: Optimising on Page Optimise your webpage content. For the best search engine optimisation and rankings, you have to make sure that the right keywords appear on your webpages. This is part of the story, true, but it’s just part of what you have to do to optimise your webpages. Here are some other things you should do to make sure you optimise effectively.

1. Include a Keyword Rich Title on Your Page. The title is the label that appears in the blue bar at the top of your web browser. It also appears as the title of your webpage in Google’s organic search results. The title should be short, concise, keyword-rich and you should put the most important keywords at the front. Take the example of a print shop located in Surry Hills, in Sydney. A good tile for them might be: Digital Printer Sydney - Colour Digital Printing Surry Hills Sydney. As you can tell its pretty keyword rich, there’s a little bit of repetition there, not too much and it doesn’t sound too weird.

2. Your Description Should Be Keyword Rich. The description is also called the “meta description tag.” This is part of your website code and describes the page’s content. Write descriptions in complete sentences and make them keyword rich. For the carpet installation service in Sydney, for example, it could read something to the effect of, “Surry Hills, Sidney Carpet Installation. Installing Carpet at a Reasonable Price.”

3. What Do Your Headings Say? Search engines look at your headings because they seem to include important page content. If your headings and sub headings are rich in keywords, you’ve given yourself a good start. For example, you can say, “Carpet Cleaning Services in Sydney.”

4. Make Sure You’re Page Content Is Suitable. At least one paragraph of each textual page on your website should be rich in keywords. You can also repeat the keywords you use in your headings in your content. Using a mix of related key phrases is also good. For example, saying, “Carpet Cleaning, Cleaning Carpets, Clean Your Carpets,” is more suitable than using the same phrases over and over again.

5. Look At Links. Links are another important indicator of page content. You should avoid generic words and links such as, “Find out more” or “Click here”. Instead, use keyword rich link test such as, “View our complete range of digital printing services”, with “digital printing services” as a link.

Step-3: Off Page Optimisation Off-page optimisation, or linking strategies, is the third and final stage. Every incoming link to your website is considered by Google as a vote for your website content by other websites. The reason why many businesses SEO efforts fail is that they focus exclusively on using keywords on web pages but they lack a linking strategy. Here are a few tips to start pushing your site up the ranks through linking strategies:

2. Put Your Site on So-Called “Authority Directories.” These website directories, called “authority directories,” are highly respected by search engines and can help improve rankings. This can help you improve your own rankings, too. Many of these sites charge a few to list there, but this helps keep out lower quality websites. Three of the most important ones are: botw.org, Yahoo.com.au, and business.com. Be advised that this isn’t about those scams that say they’ll submit your site to countless directories for $49 or so. Only submit your website to these well regarded directories.

2. Consider Using Authority Directories. When you list your site on website directories that are well regarded by search engines, this can improve your rankings. These are so-called “authority” directories and sometimes charge a fee to list there. This keeps out lower quality websites. Three of the most well-respected are botw.org, Yahoo.com.au, and business.com. It should be noted that this is different than using e-mail scams that offer to submit your site are uniformly directors for a fee. Rather, you’ll want to submit your website to directories that search engines regard highly.

Six Mistakes to Avoid in Video Marketing

Written by Terry Stanfield on October 6, 2008 – 4:38 am -

by Terry Stanfield

Video marketing is very important for an online business today. However, there are many ways that a business will fail when they practice the wrong techniques. It is important to utilize video properly so you are successful with your efforts to increase website traffic.

There are many common mistakes people make when they are attempting a video ad marketing campaign. These mistakes can cost a business their success. Here are six things you should avoid when you practice video marketing.

1. Use the wrong camera. If you have a camera on your cell phone it doesn’t mean you should use it for professional purposes. The quality of the resolution and picture are very poor coming from a cell phone. Never shoot your videos from a cell phone or a digital camera. Be sure to have a high quality camera so you shoot a high quality video.

2. Shooting a video in a garage. One of the biggest mistakes is the location people choose. However, you can produce a video anywhere you want to but you must be mindful about the background you have. It would be wise to invest in a backdrop for your video marketing if you are limited on space.

3. Not editing the video. Many companies shoot a video for their video ad marketing and they don’t edit it. They shoot the video and walk away. This leaves space and extra breaks that are unnecessary. This may also cause a video to be far too long for the customer’s attention span.

4. Not marketing. When you have a video online you have to market. You can increase website traffic when you create a website page for the video and get the word out the video is ready for viewing. Who will know your video exists if you don’t practice the right methods of marketing?
